porters

is a new small press from the United Kingdom. It aims to be a communal home for very fine new writing. To that end, our books are handmade, self-distributed and pay-what-you-want, with minimum and suggested prices reflecting manufacturing costs and our own labour. We also hold an open mic on the last Wednesday of each month in London, which is free to attend.

A postage cost will be added to your order at checkout. If your country is not listed below or your order exceeds the maximum dimensions for our main shipping provider, please contact us for a custom shipping rate. As our books are handmade and our operation is small, please also read our terms of sale before placing your order.

Jimmy Chapman

A beautiful collection from a poet dedicated to his craft, and a reminder of life’s simplest pleasures: a riddle, a well-rhymed line, a pastoral encounter with a mythical creature. Essential reading if you earnestly enjoy port and/or still sleep with your exes.
